I will never get over this scene. I just love the fact that Disney acknowledges and makes fun of the fact that “It’s A Small World” can be the most annoying song in the world. Not to mention the fact that some of the adults watching this movie would understand this reference and relate to it.

See, I always read it as Scar wants to rule and be in power and not be reminded that the world is, in fact, small. It makes his power-grabbing attempts seem exceptionally petty if the world is truly small and he’s only fighting for one small part of it.

Why not both?

This scene always pissed me off for the sole reason that zazu’s head is already out of the fucking bars yet he’s still in the cage? The head is the largest, most inflexible part of your body and most small animals can get through a hole that’s as wide around as their heads with no problem. Dude, ur a bird, get your ass outta there and fly away.

but if he flew away when scar was there, he would just get eaten by scar
