WHAT IS THE POINT OF A 2DS

ok no, i dont care about this, let them do what they want really, but if games come out for this, that dont work on the 3ds WHICH I JUST BOUGHT BTW, i will get mad and i WILL try to do something about this because the games are expensive enough as it is, like nintendo needs to be stopped ok?

let’s try and clear a few things up

on the inside, the 2DS is exactly the same as the 3DS, the only differences being that the 2DS’s case is different and that it lacks the 3D screen, making it cheaper to manufacture

the 2DS was designed as an entry-level system; something cheaper for middle-to-lower class families who wanted to get their kids a 3DS but didn’t want to / could not pay the price of the standard 3DS model, as well as offering an option for those who aren’t interested in the 3D capabilities or who wouldn’t be able to use them

in short. the 2DS is a budget system! it’s an option for those with less money to spend on video games! and don’t worry, every game compatible with the 3DS will work with the 2DS and vice versa (due to them essentially being the same on the inside, apart from the 3D screen)
