so, holy shit, okay. apparently square-enix is already working on japanese voice recordings for kingdom hearts 3. a couple mp3s of some of riku’s new lines have been leaked onto the internet— i’ve posted them here for you guys. they’re all out of context, but what’s especially upsetting is 「ソラも…死んだ？嘘だろう？！」 which roughly translated to “sora died… too? you’re kidding, right?!”

woah hold the phone. One: where was this file found. Two; is anyone else going to confirm what was said, since obviously a lot of people don’t speak Japanese.

“sora died… too? you’re kidding, right?!” is a correct (albeit slightly rough, as stated above) of 「ソラも…死んだ？嘘だろう？！」. if it’s broken down into romaji you get sora mo… shinda? usodarou ?!

sora meaning sora, mo serving as the particle in addition to meaning “also” and shinda as the adjectival verb of shi (death), essentially altering the meaning to “has died” or “is dead”

usodarou is a pretty rough way of saying “that’s a lie, isn’t it?” / “you’re lying, aren’t you?”

the original translation was pretty on-mark
